Verified Service Account / Test Account Setup Guide

Configure a verified service account (or test account) first to get your own WeChat push channel. Subscription accounts and unverified accounts are not supported. See the official WeChat documentation for capability details.
1. The verified service account is provided by your company. Apply for the template-message feature, choose any industry template, then enter your appID and appsecret.
2. The test account is offered by WeChat and is free for individual users to try all advanced interfaces.
Follow the steps below to connect.

1. open the application page (click here) and sign in by scanning the QR code with WeChat.

Important! Scroll down to the fourth section on the page (Test Account QR Code). Use your personal WeChat to scan that QR code and follow the account before continuing, otherwise you will see "Unauthorized API". (If saving fails, please contact support.)

2. Copy appID and appsecret into the fields below.

3. In the "Message Template API" section, click "Add Test Template" to create a template. The left image is for a test account, the right for a verified service account. Enter the following template body for the Push Notification template:

4. Scroll down to the "Test Account QR Code" section. Scan to follow the test account, then copy the "WeChat ID" matching your nickname and paste it below.

(PS. For verified service accounts, the openid parameter is supplied by your company's technical staff.)

A test account takes effect immediately after clicking Save Configuration. Verified service accounts additionally require IP whitelist setup (see the red ellipse around "Server URL Configuration").

Verified service account users: scan the QR code to follow this account and reply "IP Whitelist". Copy the IPs into "Settings & Development" → "Security Center" → "IP Whitelist".

WeChat Channels and Message Templates

This page plugs your own WeChat account (a verified service account, or WeChat's own test account) into OnePass, so pushes go out under your account's name and template style instead of the shared one.

What you can do on this page

  • Manage your MP channels in Verified service account (or test account) management: Push type / Channel name / Group chat / Channel code / Status, with + Add push channel and per-row edit, delete, reset code, copy and test.
  • Use any push type the dialog offers — browser, WeCom / DingTalk / Feishu bots, WeCom application, BARK (iOS), combo channel, webhook push, official email, the eight custom mailboxes, Telegram and Discord.
  • Run the 5-step setup wizard: 1) open the WeChat sandbox page and scan the test-account QR with your own WeChat; 2) paste appID and appsecret; 3) create a test template with {{title.DATA}} / {{content.DATA}} and paste its template ID; 4) paste the WeChat ID shown next to your nickname under Test account QR code as the openid; 5) copy the server URL / Token / EncodingAESKey into the account's message settings. Then hit Save config.
  • Manage templates in WeChat message template management: template name, template content, status, and a Configure push parameters dialog that maps each {{field.DATA}} placeholder to a value and a colour.
  • Bind WeChat and test a push from the row actions, which also generate the copyable API URL.

Requires a signed-in session, and a verified service account additionally needs this platform's IP in your account's IP whitelist — otherwise the token call fails silently. Following the steps in order matters: saving without the openid, or without following the test account, is the usual cause of the "unauthorized API" error.
