Verified Service Account / Test Account Setup Guide
Configure a verified service account (or test account) first to get your own WeChat push channel. Subscription accounts and unverified accounts are not supported. See the official WeChat documentation for capability details.
1. The verified service account is provided by your company. Apply for the template-message feature, choose any industry template, then enter your appID and appsecret.
2. The test account is offered by WeChat and is free for individual users to try all advanced interfaces.
Follow the steps below to connect.
1. open the application page (click here) and sign in by scanning the QR code with WeChat.
2. Copy appID and appsecret into the fields below.
3. In the "Message Template API" section, click "Add Test Template" to create a template. The left image is for a test account, the right for a verified service account. Enter the following template body for the Push Notification template:

Then copy the template ID into the field below.
4. Scroll down to the "Test Account QR Code" section. Scan to follow the test account, then copy the "WeChat ID" matching your nickname and paste it below.
5. Server URL configuration: top image is for the test account, bottom for the verified service account. Skip this step if you do not need to receive pushes from other users!

For verified service accounts, requests to obtain access_token must originate from an IP in the IP whitelist. After logging in, scan the QR code and reply "IP Whitelist" to get the IP whitelist! :-)
A test account takes effect immediately after clicking Save Configuration. Verified service accounts additionally require IP whitelist setup (see the red ellipse around "Server URL Configuration").
Verified service account users: scan the QR code to follow this account and reply "IP Whitelist". Copy the IPs into "Settings & Development" → "Security Center" → "IP Whitelist".
