Help: from your first push to fixing "I got nothing"
Can't find where to paste the channel code, or the push says success but your phone stays silent? Questions are grouped in the order you will meet them: getting started, receiving and troubleshooting, push settings, the subscription market, and account security. Every answer links to the page where you actually do it.
1Getting started
The shortest path from a new account to the first message on your phone.
What is the minimum setup to send my first push?
- Register with your email address and verify the code.
- Create a channel in Channel management and pick where messages should go: a WeCom, DingTalk or Feishu bot, an email address, Bark, Telegram, Discord and so on.
- Copy the 32-character channel code. Every channel has one, and it is the only thing your script or app needs.
- Press "Test push" inside the channel and confirm the message arrives before wiring anything into production.
No code is required for everyday use: the browser extension and desktop client only ask for the channel code once.
What exactly is the channel code? What if I lose it?
The channel code is a 32-character identifier that tells OnePass where a message should be delivered. Each channel has its own code, and a combo channel wraps several sub-channels under one code.
You do not have to "recover" it: sign in, open Channel management and copy it again. If the code leaks, open the channel and use Reset channel code. The old code stops working immediately, so remember to update any script or app that used it.
I don't write code. How do I push things from my computer?
Install the OnePass browser extension for Edge or Chrome, or the Windows / macOS / Linux client, and enter your channel code once. From then on you can select text on any page or take a screenshot and send it to your phone or group from the right-click menu.
You can also drag the push bookmarklet into your bookmarks bar. All download links are on the extension and client page.
How do I test safely the first time?
Use Test push inside your own channel. It only targets that channel, which is exactly what you want before connecting a bot or mailbox.
You can also try the no-login demo on the home page. The demo channel code is shared by every visitor, so never put it into a production script.
Do I need an app on my phone?
No. Messages can arrive through WeCom, DingTalk, Feishu, Telegram, Discord, email, or Bark on iOS. Browser notifications and the desktop client are just extra surfaces. Pick whichever app you already look at every day — that is the one you will actually notice.
2Receiving messages and troubleshooting
When the log says delivered but you see nothing, check in this order.
The push was successful, but I received nothing. What should I check first?
- Channel configuration: is the bot Webhook complete, does the signing secret match, has the mailbox authorization code expired?
- Is the bot still in the group? A removed or deleted bot receives nothing. Add it back and update the Webhook in the channel.
- Mailbox: check spam and promotions, then whitelist the sender. If the official email quota is used up, switch to another channel type.
- Browser notifications: the page must be HTTPS, notifications must be allowed for the site, and system notifications or Do Not Disturb must not block the browser.
- Was the channel code reset? Pushes to the old code will fail or reach the old channel.
- Daily quota: sign in and open the account center to see the remaining pushes for today.
- Subscriptions: check that the channel is not muted or left in Groups I joined.
I get no WeChat messages from my official account channel.
A WeChat channel requires a verified service account or a test account. Subscription accounts and unverified service accounts are not supported, and template messages must be enabled. The recipient also has to follow the account.
For personal use you can skip WeChat entirely and start with a WeCom, DingTalk or Feishu bot, or plain email — no application or review is needed.
Email keeps landing in spam.
Add the sender to your contacts or whitelist, or mark the message as "not spam" so the rule learns. Corporate mailboxes may need an administrator to allow the sender.
For reminders you cannot miss, pair the email channel with a group bot or Bark. A combo channel delivers to all of them with one push.
Browser notifications never pop up.
Check three places: the page must be served over HTTPS, the address bar must show notifications as allowed for the site, and the operating system must not be in Do Not Disturb mode. On macOS also check Focus settings.
Desktop notifications from the extension are separate: after installing, allow the extension in system notification settings.
How can family or teammates receive the same message?
Create a combo channel and attach several sub-channels to one channel code — for example a WeCom bot, an email address and Bark. One push then reaches all of them.
You can also share a specific sub-channel through a share link, which lets the other person manage it without signing in. The link contains the channel code, so only send it to people you trust.
What is the difference between a private channel and a public channel?
A public channel is listed in the subscription market so any signed-in user can subscribe; messages are delivered through each subscriber's own channel. A private channel stays inside your account.
Use a combo channel for a fixed team, and a public channel when strangers should be able to subscribe.
3Push content, timing and quota
Length limits, scheduling, daily allowance and how to tell what was delivered.
Is there a length limit on messages?
The title can be up to 200 characters and the body up to 1 MB. For long content use POST and URL-encode the body. Markdown is supported for bold text, links and code blocks — see the API documentation for the exact syntax.
Can I schedule a push or delay it?
Yes. Scheduled pushes use a Quartz expression, and you can generate one on the schedule expression builder by clicking instead of typing. On mobile you can also create a scheduled group that reminds you at a fixed time.
For "remind me in a few minutes", use the delay parameters in the send API.
How many messages can I send per day?
The free tier includes 10,000 calls per day, shared across all channels and also covering the danmu JS and visit analytics calls. The account center shows today's remaining pushes and usage.
If you regularly exceed the free quota, the price page lists higher-throughput plans. Running out of official email quota does not affect other channel types.
How do I know whether a message was delivered or read?
The push log lists every message with its channel, time and status. Open a record to see delivery and read times on channels that support read receipts.
API calls also return a messageId, which you can use with the result query endpoint to check specific messages.
I sent the wrong message. Can I recall it?
No. Once delivered, a message cannot be recalled or deleted — the same is true of WeCom, DingTalk and other platforms. Before sending to a large group, send the same content to your own channel or a test channel first.
Why do channels receive the same message at different times?
A combo channel delivers in parallel, and each platform has its own speed and rate limits. A gap of a few seconds to a few tens of seconds is normal.
Scheduled pushes follow server time, so avoid scheduling everything exactly on the hour when platforms are busiest.
4The subscription market
Find channels to follow, manage what you joined, and report bad content.
What is the subscription market?
It is a community of public channels: deals, announcements, monitoring alerts and danmu topics. Sign in, search or browse, and join in one click. Every message is delivered through your own channel, so you decide whether it reaches WeCom, Telegram or email.
How do I subscribe, unsubscribe or mute a channel?
Open the market, find a channel and press Join, then choose which of your channels should receive it. Everything you joined is listed in Groups I joined, where you can mute or leave.
Leaving only removes the subscription between you and the channel. It does not affect the publisher or other subscribers.
What is keyword forwarding?
While subscribing you can choose to forward only messages that match certain keywords to a specific channel. That keeps a busy group from flooding your phone — for example, only messages containing "restock" or "price drop".
How do I report spam or abusive content?
Open the message and use the Report button. You can also send us the channel name and a screenshot through the feedback link at the bottom of any page.
Never send your channel code to a publisher, and do not click links you do not recognize.
Can I publish my own channel?
Yes. Any registered user can create a channel, switch it to public and describe it in up to 500 characters. Public channels suit announcements, deals and monitoring alerts; keep private messages in a private channel.
5Account and security
Email, password, channel codes and what a verified domain gives you.
I forgot my password.
Use "Forgot password" on the sign-in page and reset with a code sent to your registered email. Email is the only recovery path, so keep it bound and working. WeChat sign-in cannot replace email recovery.
How do I change my email address?
Sign in and open Personal center → Profile. Enter the new address, press Send, enter the verification code and save. Make sure the new mailbox can receive mail before switching.
My channel code has leaked. What now?
Reset it immediately from the channel detail page; the old code stops working at once. Then check the push log for unfamiliar activity and delete the channel if it has been abused.
Never commit a channel code to a public repository, post it in a group, or include it in a screenshot. Share links also contain the code, so forward them carefully.
What is domain verification for?
After verifying a domain you control, pages on it can call the push service without sending the channel code, the Webhook rate limit is lifted, and a danmu channel is created automatically. It is the right option for a site that collects analytics or shows danmu long term.
Verification requires binding WeChat first; details are on the domain verification page.
Which sign-in methods can I bind?
You can sign in with a WeChat scan, and bind Gitee, GitHub, DingTalk or Feishu accounts for passwordless sign-in. Before unbinding a third-party account, confirm your email still works, otherwise you may lose password recovery.
Can I delete my account? What happens to my data?
Yes, but deletion is permanent: channels, push history and subscriptions are all removed. Export any log you need first. If you are only taking a break, disable the channel instead of deleting the account.
